Today, we are honored to stand behind an incredible young girl named Lexi and the many friends, neighbors, businesses, and volunteers who are working together to help her receive life-saving medical treatment.
Lexi is courageously battling a rare and aggressive brain cancer. After exhausting many treatment options in the United States, her family has turned to an innovative dendritic vaccine immunotherapy program in Cologne, Germany. Unfortunately, the treatment is not covered by insurance, making community support essential.
A Friendship That Inspires Everyone
One of the most inspiring parts of Lexi’s story comes from her best friend, Lucy Barnett.
Rather than feeling helpless, Lucy decided to make a difference the way many children know best. She opened a neighborhood lemonade stand.
What began as a simple idea quickly became something much larger.
Neighbors, friends, local businesses, and even complete strangers stopped by to donate. Social media helped spread the word, and the Tampa Bay community responded with incredible generosity. The lemonade stand raised thousands of dollars while reminding everyone that compassion still brings people together.
