Our industry certified inspectors protect you by following the IDEA-STD-1010-B and AS 6081:2012 programs and we utilize certified test houses for further analysis, when applicable. Training and communication of the latest inspection techniques are at the forefront of our processes. Warehouse staff receive scheduled training for inspection and warehousing controls in accordance with ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, and DLA QSLD and QTSL requirements.
Trained Receiving and Inspection personnel are responsible for inspection and order verification. Shipping personnel verify that orders are complete with documentation and any customer shipping requirements. Warehouse personnel are ANSI/ESD S20.20 trained and inspectors are industry certified.
Order verification is initiated at Receiving, which includes recorded evidence confirmation of supplier documentation, physical condition of the order and ESD compliance.
Freedom has a strict and robust ESD program that controls the workstations, inspection equipment, flooring, packaging, and handling processes that are certified to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 and the Defense Logistics Agency required JESD625B. All orders are treated as ESD sensitive and handled accordingly throughout processing and warehousing.
Our ESD trained Inspectors confirm ESD compliance and moisture sensitivity of each order received to safeguard our customers from unseen impacts to their parts. If an order is found to be nonconforming to ESD or MSL requirements, then the order is nonconformed awaiting disposition.
All orders are processed with inspection evidence through TALON and controlled to the order number for traceability and trackability during processing. Inspection pictures and data evidence are input at each level of inspection to the order and electronically maintained indefinitely. Nonconforming orders are quarantined and trackable within TALON with nonconforming status and location through to disposition.
Inspection requires completion of the Freedom Advanced Inspection Checklist, which is controlled in TALON to the order. The Checklist mandates inspection criteria like required pictures and specific data evidence prior to authorizing the order to ship. Inspection employs AS 6081 sampling requirements and applies the IDEA-STD-1010-B visual inspection program.
Shipping validates the order is complete for shipment including ESD packaging compliance, proper labeling, listed part numbers and quantities. Parts are packaged and shipped in accordance with industry standards and customer specific requirements. Shipping records evidence confirmation in TALON of the sealed parts with labels, order assembly within shipping box, Certificate of Conformance, any customer required documentation, and final closed box with shipping labels.
